Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: August 21, 2026

Frame Extractor is an independent web project. The privacy contact and site contact is support@frameextractor.net. This policy covers visits to frameextractor.net, the browser extraction workflow, optional analytics and advertising technologies, and messages sent to the project.

Local processing and hosting data

A video selected in the extractor is read through browser media APIs and frames are generated on your device. The application does not need to upload the source video or extracted images to a Frame Extractor server. Your browser and operating system still control temporary memory, downloads, local file permissions, backups, and synchronization on your device.

Hosting and security providers may receive ordinary request data needed to deliver and protect the site, including IP address, request time, URL, referrer, browser user agent, response status, and security signals. The site may be delivered through Cloudflare infrastructure. Request logs are not used to recover or inspect the local video selected in the extractor.

Consent and optional services

The extractor works when optional cookies are refused. Your choice is saved in browser local storage as frameextractor-consent-v1 with a value of accepted or rejected. It does not contain video data. Use Cookie settings in the footer to reopen the panel, or clear site data in your browser.

Only after acceptance, configured analytics services such as Google Analytics, OpenPanel, or Plausible may receive page views, general browser and device information, approximate region, referrer, interaction events, and errors. We do not intentionally send video contents, extracted frames, or local filenames in analytics events.

Contact messages, retention, and your rights

Email messages contain the address, subject, body, and attachments you choose to send. They are used to answer the request, investigate a problem, protect the service, or comply with law. Do not send private videos unless a redacted sample is specifically requested. Messages are kept only as reasonably necessary for support, operational records, disputes, or legal obligations and are not added to marketing lists without permission.

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or information about disclosures. Email support@frameextractor.net with the subject “Privacy request”. We may need information to locate or verify the request, but we will not ask for the local video because extraction does not transmit it to us.

Third-party advertising and Google technologies

If optional cookies are accepted and advertising is configured, Google AdSense may use cookies, local storage, IP address, browser information, or other device identifiers to deliver, limit, measure, and protect ads. Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on consent, location, settings, and Google policy. Advertising must remain distinguishable from site content, and clicking an ad is never required to use Frame Extractor. Google does not receive your local video or extracted frames through this tool.
